 HISTORY

Heritage. In the truest sense.
When Qumar returned from his travels, there was a change in him. The 24 year old knew he had to start something new, he had outgrown his previous businesses and was gravitating towards the future. His father, Sajjad, had encouraged him to begin on his clothing line. And so, after some research and careful planning, began the labor of this Father and Son team.
They found an empty street level warehouse that opened up to Wall Street, in Downtown Los Angeles's Fashion District. After setting up a modest office, Qumar purchased two rolling racks and hung up the first items the brand offered: 5 Pocket Mid Rise Boot Cut Jeans. (planned for re-release in Spring 2016). Sajjad stood by and introduced Qumar to a few of his Fashion Industry friends, which got the company off the ground and into stores all over the US, Canada and Central America.
Sajjad had an extensive background in Garments and Textiles, He had spent the prior 15 years in DTLA's Fashion District, manufacturing clothing for women and kids with his wife, Nusrat (better known as Bobbi) under the name Diana Fashion (which is Missfit's Parent Company and has been in business since 1988).
Before coming to the USA in 1986, Sajjad was a yarn supplier and owned fabric weaving operations in his country of birth, Pakistan.  This proved to be a family legacy, as both of Qumar's parents and both grandfathers were involved in Textile and Garment manufacturing, resulting in a rich family portfolio of  Cotton Ginning, Cut and Sew Operations, Woven Fabrics,  Yarn Milling, International Commodity Fibers Trade, and with the addition of latest generation, Fashion Design  Brand Development, and Merchandise Marketing.
Honing in consumer preferences and market trends, Missfit released a frenzy of Denim and Cotton pants for young minded women, juniors and preteens, finding it's home, forever in the true blue textile, indigo denim.
The integrity of the denim it sells lies in Missfit's is tightly woven fabrics, , contouring fits, and timeless interpretation of the post modern woman and her style.
